What Happens After Menopause?

What to Expect When Experiencing Menopause

Menopause is a totally normal part of aging for all women. It is not a disease or a condition, it is just the name of the stage of life after you have finished your menstrual periods and can no longer get pregnant. While it is totally normal, and even expected, to eventually experience menopause, the side effects and new challenges it brings can still be surprising. Not sure what to expect? This blog is for you. Keep reading to learn more about what to expect when experiencing menopause and how a Women’s Health Clinical Trial can help ease your symptoms along the way.

Are You Going Through Menopause?

If you haven’t had a period or any vaginal bleeding or spotting for 12 months or more, you are most likely experiencing menopause. Menopause has a wide range of symptoms, such as hot flashes, emotional symptoms, low energy, sleep issues, weight gain, and much more.

Hot flashes can be a difficult part of menopause. They are very uncomfortable, and there is no telling how long they will last. If you want relief for hot flashes, we are currently conducting a Hot Flash Clinical Trial in which you can receive brand-new investigational medication to help reduce your hot flash symptoms, as well as get paid for your time and travel.

What to Expect After Menopause

After menopause, it is important to note that you are at an increased risk of developing certain conditions. These postmenopause-related conditions include cardiovascular (heart) disease, osteoporosis (weak bones) and urinary tract infections (UTIs). As such, it is important to have a healthy diet and lifestyle, and to go for your regular cancer screenings such as cervical (smear test) and breast.

Women who have been through menopause are at an increased risk of developing weak bones that may break more easily (osteoporosis) as a result of the lower level of estrogen in the body. In addition to a hot flash clinical trial, we are currently conducting a clinical trial for women who are experiencing Postmenopausal Osteoporosis and want relief for their symptoms.
